You will be responsible for ensuring seamless and efficient payment processes to support our global user base.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategies to enhance payment operations efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of payment operations professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to achieve departmental goals.
- Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve payment processes to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance user experience.
- Risk Management: Collaborate with the Risk team to implement robust risk management protocols to mitigate fraud and compliance risks associated with payment operations.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with payment service providers, financial institutions, and other vendors to ensure optimal service levels and competitive pricing.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, compliance, and customer support, to drive alignment and achieve business objectives.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the performance of payment operations, analysing data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards governing payment operations, staying informed about changes and updates to regulations.
- Market Research and Analytics: Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape in the payments industry. Utilise analytics to inform strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for growth.
- Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategies: Develop comprehensive GTM strategies for new payment products, features, and initiatives. Coordinate with marketing, sales, and business development teams to ensure effective execution of GTM plans and drive user adoption.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of payment operations projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Utilise project management methodologies and tools to drive project success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5 years) in payment operations management within the fintech or cryptocurrency industry, with a strong understanding of P2P operations, fiat channels, payment service providers, analytics, market research, GTM strategies, and project management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to leverage data-driven insights to drive operational improvements and inform strategic decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of payment systems, regulations, and compliance requirements, with a track record of ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans to achieve business objectives.
- Results-oriented approach, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes and driving continuous improvement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting quickly to change and managing competing priorities effectively.
