About the Role: 

As the Social Media Manager for Magic Square, you will be the voice of our brand across social media platforms, mainly Twitter and working closely with our community team on Discord, Telegram, and Reddit, you will create a seamless experience for our audience, both online and offline. Your role will involve collaboration with our Growth, Marketing, Community, and Design teams to ensure a consistent and engaging narrative for our followers.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Social Media Strategy: Design and manage a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with Magic Square's vision and goals.
  • Content Creation and Management: Independently generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily across various platforms, tailored to our target audiences. This includes being responsible for the entire content lifecycle from strategy to execution.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with community, growth, marketing, and design teams to maintain a cohesive brand voice and messaging across all channels.
  • Community Engagement: Actively respond to comments, messages, and interactions on social media promptly and meaningfully to foster a strong community.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track social media metrics, trends, and best practices to ensure optimal performance. Develop relationships with key influencers and relevant entities.
  • Content Calendar Management: Oversee and update the social media content calendar, coordinating with various teams for timely content production and distribution.
  • Trend and Competitor Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities.
  • Opportunity Identification: Work with cross-functional teams to identify potential content creation and promotional opportunities.
  • Big Advantage: Twitter Spaces Hosting: Ability to host Twitter Spaces on a weekly basis with our partners and/or community to engage our audience directly.

The Ideal Candidate: 

  • Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in social media content writing and management, in a Web3 or similar environment.
  • Platform Proficiency: Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to write compelling blogs and emails.
  • Creative Content Production: Proficiency in creating diverse content, including text, images, and videos. Must be able to handle content creation independently.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Web3, AI, crypto, or blockchain is mandatory.
  • Multitasking Ability: Capable of prioritizing and performing under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience with tools like Google Workspace applications (Google Docs and Sheets), and Social Media planning and publishing tools.
