This position reports into the Head of EU Internal Audit.
Responsbilities
- Design and implement audit strategies covering key risks across the French business and European VASPs
- Responsible for the periodic documentation of independent risk assessments of the French Audit Universe
- Deliver approved audit assignments independently following the global audit methodology
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of key controls in place to mitigate risks
- Recommend enhancements to the control environment, based on identified weaknesses and insights from industry and regulatory expectations
- Support the execution of risk-based analytical data sampling
- Participate in peer review and quality assurance reviews to ensure other parts of IA are maintaining quality standards
- Track and validate management actions
- Ad hoc reporting of audit programme status, management actions and thematic control observations
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in an analytical discipline
- Experience working in a compliance, risk management or audit function, or providing assurance as an independent third party
- Strong working knowledge of the regulatory environment in a major European jurisdictions. Experience with French regulators would be a significant advantage
- Team player with the ability to work independently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment and within a small team setting
- Ensure data and reporting needs are well understood and delivered promptly
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in the crypto/digital asset industry is a plus
- Good understanding of key risks and controls within an exchange business
- Fluency in French & English is required to work effectively with the team and external stakeholders
