Role Overview
Weâre seeking an Director of Venture Development to coordinate, coach, and support founders within our portfolio through early-stage sales and product validation. Your primary focus will be on enabling foundersâoften new to early-stage salesâby implementing clear frameworks, metrics, and strategies that drive initial market traction and successful pivots.
Youâll assist founders operationally where needed, but you will primarily act as an internal coach and catalyst for rapid, structured growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish clear, scalable frameworks for customer discovery, market validation, and founder-led sales.
- Define and track actionable KPIs to measure early-stage product success.
- Mentor and coach founders on effective go-to-market tactics and rapid experimentation methods.
- Participate directly in operational tasks (e.g., customer interviews) to model best practices.
- Facilitate cross-venture strategic alignment, knowledge sharing, and reporting structures.
- Build relationships with strategic partners for initial market entry.
Requirements
Must have:
- Led at least 2 products from pre-revenue to market fit as a founder, early stage sales, or Product Manager role.
- Experience handling early-stage pivots and ICP discovery
- Strong curiosity in web3 payment ecosystem.
- Comfort establishing clear metrics, interpreting data, and holding teams accountable.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity inherent in startup environments.
Nice to have:
- Participated in a startup mentorship program as a coach or trainee
- Deep understanding of Bitcoin/blockchain ecosystems preferred, but not required.
- Operational experience in web3 payment infrastructure (OTC trading, PSPs, crypto-fiat swaps) or on-chain analytics.
- Relevant experience in fintech or banking environments.
- Background in product management, sales, or marketing.
