Commercial Strategy Associates play a critical role on a team core to Krakenās global operating effectiveness. You will be expected to operate effectively in a highly cross-functional context, working directly with nearly every team and department in the company. You will have a unique opportunity to positively influence the entire organization with business decisions to drive initiatives that directly impact the companyās bottom line.This role is remote with access to our European offices.
The Opportunity
- Report to the Europe Strategy Manager to develop and execute Krakenās commercial growth strategy in Europe
- Drive the execution of new market or product initiatives by providing cross-functional program management to ensure each aspect of the business is covered for Kraken products
- Coordinate with Managing Directors, product, finance, compliance, legal teams to build the market or product business plan, design operational flows, and articulate commercial strategyĀ
- Support commercial negotiations with partners and build analytical models to assess financial impact for the company
- Work with the Marketing team to build launch plans and campaigns to drive consumer awareness and optimize growth
- Identify areas of inefficiency, redundancy, bottlenecked progress or scaling challenges between business functions, product launches, and devise and execute process improvements to address them
- Develop recommendations to solve critical challenges employing a data driven approach
- Present in a clear and concise manner to key stakeholders and influence business decisions across the organization
- Cultivate a network within the European crypto industry and develop a deep understanding of crypto products, protocols, and trends to understand how to design processes around them
Skills you should HODL
- Bachelorās degree
- 2+ years experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, financial services, corporate strategy, program management, or an equivalent entry level position
- Interest in and familiarity with both cryptocurrency and traditional financial industries
- Experience and proven track record in business management or operations roles in the financial services or technology industries
- Familiarity with retail financial products, financial markets and derivatives products, or Web3 protocols
- Experience navigating complex operational hurdles in hyper-growth companies
- Experience with international environments and working across geographies
- Excellent organizational and workload management skills, especially with respect to prioritization and proactive verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent attention to detail and follow through
- Strong contextualization and second-order thinking ability
- Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule to coordinate with global stakeholders
- Creativity, adaptability, tenacity, a sense of urgency and hands-on, roll-up your sleeves work ethic
- Ability to deconstruct convoluted problems and develop precise plans of action
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced user of Excel and Powerpoint with a good familiarity of G-Suite equivalents
- Intermediate or greater SQL proficiency a major plus
- Knowledge of Lean principles, six sigma and/or business process management concepts
